Suggestions for new students
At first i thought it was boring because of the faculty’s long lectures but after some lecture i could realize, the faculty actually wanted to give us the full concept. When i started giving IOA i finally understood the matter. So I started reading the book beside his slides. Actually i tried to follow his instructions. that's why I was able to do better in his all IOAs which helped me a lot getting an 'A".
Before the mid-term exam or final exam i tried to review all of his previous lectures and revised all the topics. During assignment or project time i always made group discussion which is very much helpful for the assignment and project. I also made continuous communication with faculty directly or over telephone when i found a problem. Another thing to say, new students should give some times in his office room whether they do not understand the topic discussed in the class because the faculty is helpful and friendly. Students need to do hard work in his subject, i know it may some difficult for students but surely if one can understand his lectures he/she might be doing better for the next related courses and you will also enjoy his classes.
I would like to suggest you (all the new students) that please try to follow all the instructions and try reading the book beside his slides, specially try to do better in IOA. and try to co-ordinate with him . If possible, try to spend some time with him which will help you a lot. Do not memorize all the thing, try to get the concepts and for the math parts- you have to practice. If you need any information or any help you can contact with me. I would like very much to help you studying for the course and feel free to call me at my number "01727468915" or message me at facebook ID "masud_parvez92@yahoo.com". thank you.
Wish you all best of luck.

Getting an A is not actually that tough, you have to have focus and be diligent all throughout the semester. I used to think that smartness is the key but I got to learn that diligence trumps smartness if the smart one is not diligent.
I am a very lazy person, and I procrastinate a lot, who does not, but this seriously affects the grade unless you plan ahead. Planning ahead can prove to be very important in doing good in a course. Actually, I learned about a lot about planning and forecasting in an organized way in MGT314 course, but I have been implementing it well ahead for my other courses and my life. There will be early start, early finish, slack etc in the planning and actually can give you a planned procrastination until you really have to study and you will know when to study.( I am not suggesting you to procrastinate)
Another important thing is that nothing substitutes the course book, this is to say that the slides are as good as just a skeleton of the course materials. The slides can give you maybe a "B" if you are lucky, but if you want to get an "A", then go through the book at least once and make sure you cover everything. Understanding the materials is enough because if you understand you can write it and explain, no need to memorize or anything. I am a perfectionist and I have my way of studying. First of all I count the pages I have to cover and then I find out how long I need to finish it i.e. I plan my timing ( I know how many pages I can cover in a minute).
For the projects try to be innovative and try to actually learn from your work. And do not leave everything for the last moment, because your work will show your hastiness.
