How I got a good grade:

Hello, my fellow NSUers,

I am Rayan Rashik, and I want to share some tips to get an A in MIS107.

Some students find the course complex and the terms hard to understand. I found the first few classes difficult, and it gets easier with time and effort. If you start with a pessimistic mindset, you will get an unsatisfactory grade. So here I am to share my experiences that might help you prepare for the best grade.

§ Do not miss a single class because the topics are interconnected. If you accidentally miss a class, make it up by studying with group members and clearing any questions by asking the faculty.

§ See the lecture videos before every class. It will help you to gain more knowledge about the topics. And do note down the examples and mindmaps while watching the videos.

§ Revise the MCQ question bank and the previous semester's broad questions before every exam.

§ Do every assessment (Lab, quiz, group project, Mid, Final) sincerely.

§ Do not miss any bonus points- they can boost your grade.

Lastly, I want to reiterate- study regularly. It does not mean you need to study long, but you must clearly understand the important topics.

Best of luck. If you need to ask anything, feel free to knock me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/rayan.rashik.9 & also through email : rayan.rashik@NSU

How I got a good grade:

Assalamualaikum Everyone,

I am Sadia Naznin Nisha. Despite being 100 level, this course can be tricky if you don't study smartly.

  • The faculty is punctual and strict regarding class timing, so make sure to attend all the classes on time and pay attention.
  • The slides contain all the key topics; if you want to score a good grade, please ensure you understand the concept thoroughly. You should also read the book and go through the class recordings.
  • If you are still confused, you can get answers from your fellow coursemates, class representatives, "AYN Support v2" fb group besides asking the faculty. I used to browse the web if some concepts were hard to understand. I also visited the faculty during office hours for clarifications.
  • One of the best parts about this course is that there are tons of bonus opportunities; even if you cannot perform well in an assessment, you will have a chance of getting a decent grade. I never missed a bonus assessment (GA, Lab, or Exams), which is reflected in my grade.
  • I used to practice Previous Semester questions and MCQ Question banks before the midterm and final. The question pattern is very similar, so it makes your preparation easier. You do not have to write a lot, mention the key points and logical examples, and get full marks. Do not write anything irrelevant.

Finally, If you are punctual and consistent and never miss any bonus opportunity, you will indeed receive good grades in this course. If you have further discussions, I am happy to help. Feel free to contact me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sadianazneennisha99

Most importantly, I always tried to complete my tasks regularly to ensure proper time management across different courses.

  • Attend all the classes and labs. Try to participate by answering the questions asked in class.
  • Before exams, go through the question bank and lecture videos available on the course website. This will help you a lot.
  • Take notes and make a mind map of your own to solve the question bank. If you are confused, seek help from the faculty during office hours.
  • Lastly, don't miss the opportunity of getting bonus marks which can significantly impact your grades in the end.
