How I got a good grade:

Hello everyone,
I hope you are dealing with the pandemic well.

I am Ishfar Quaderi, and after doing MIS107 (Computer Information System) in the Spring’21 semester, I felt fortunate to have done another course, MIS207 (E-business), under Mr. Adeyl khan in the Summer’21 semester. This was undoubtedly one of the courses that I thoroughly enjoyed during the semester, as the classes were highly engaging and not monotonous.

This course is made easier with an easily graspable teaching method, and the faculty motivated us, keeping our morale boosted throughout. I want to share with you all how I managed to emerge with an A in this course.

I consider our generation of people to be multitaskers, most of us doing extra-curricular activities and part-time or full-time jobs alongside our studies. Therefore, studying needs to be smart and focused on passing with a good grade (the result).

Firstly, it is vital that you have proper access to a laptop paired with a reliable internet connection throughout the semester. I made sure I had backup devices and an internet connection to avoid missing valuable lectures and, most importantly, interruptions during the exams.

Secondly, preparing for this course doesn’t require much, just a few hours from your day and an uninterrupted environment to study. Throughout the course, by keeping in mind the advice given by Mr. Khan, I dedicated 6 hours a week to this course. The time varied a bit depending on the amount of course material I had to cover. While studying for the course, the course website( www.adeyl.com), which is the hub of all the course-related information, guided me. I watched the lecture videos on YouTube while simultaneously going through the mind maps in another window (multi-tasking).

I practiced for the exams even before the exam announcement date by downloading the sample questions from the course website. This makes studying effective and prepares you rigorously for the midterms and the final.

It is essential that you do not fall behind watching the lecture videos and attending classes because once you miss one, you lose track of the syllabus, and you will fall behind. This will hamper the flow of your education and reflect on your grade. One piece of advice from my end would be to finish each day’s study material on time and make small notes while attending classes to help while revising for exams. To balance all the courses properly, you can follow a simple To-do list by allocating time to each course and prioritizing according to deadlines.

Additionally, attaining maximum marks in the bonus quizzes before Midterms and the Finals by practicing the question bank along with full attendance will help to boost up your grades by the end of the semester.

Finally, you will shine through the course with diligence, perseverance, eagerness to learn, and a moderate amount of class participation. For any help regarding the MIS courses, you may reach out to me
