MIS107 @ 2021 Fall

Assalamu alaikum and hello everyone!

I hope all of you are doing well. I am Farhana Yasmin, and I completed the Information Systems & Computer (MIS107) course under the guidance of our enthusiastic faculty, Mr.Adeyl Khan.

The course was online due to the pandemic. So having a stable internet connection was necessary, and I tried my best always to have mobile-data packages. Moreover, I always made sure to charge my laptop and looked for security updates at least an hour before a lesson started.

The course content might initially seem overwhelming given all the quizzes, labs, group projects, and exams. However, do not let that drive you away from your goals!

I tried to stay on track by watching the YouTube lecture videos the night before our class. It can be pretty challenging to do that around mid-semester, which was in my case because I had three other courses. Thus, I would recommend at least watching the first 20 to 30 minutes of the lecture videos. Another essential factor to ace in this course is to follow the mindmaps. Make your notes in a mindmap and supplement using lecture videos, classes, and slides because the course is more about understanding than memorizing.

Go through the sample papers before the exams. I would suggest reading the book alongside solving the sample papers. This will help to instill the management knowledge required for the course.

And, do not miss the bonus oral tests and lab! This is an opportunity not to be missed! Last but not least, try to make good friends and work on your communication skills.

I was terrified because there wasn’t anybody from my department. Fortunately, Alhamdulillah I made two wonderful friends, and we were in the same group. So without their enormous amount of help and guidance from the faculty, it would not be possible for me to excel in this course. And, always attend the classes on time and submit the assignments before due time!

Hello everyone, 

I hope you all are staying safe and healthy during this pandemic. This is Mashiat Khaled Prapti, and I had a fortunate opportunity to complete my "Infomation Systems and Computer" course under the honorable teacher, Mr. Adeyl Khan, in the fall-2021 semester.

As this was my first semester, I faced many challenges. However, I explored ways to overcome those difficulties and worked really hard. The resulting grade helped me boost my confidence for the future. 

I tried my best to manage time with my other courses and didn't pile up my work for the next day. I also focused on understanding the topics rather than just memorizing them.

Since the course was online, I ensured that I had a stable internet connection and a workable PC or laptop. During a network crisis, I used cellular data that was my backup. The faculty is remarkably punctual and expects everyone to join the class at the right time.

For midterms and finals, the mindmaps and lecture slides were enormously helpful. Furthermore, do solve the sample questions as it was like a savior for me, and it'll give a clear idea about the question patterns. For gaining additional knowledge, I watched the lecture-discussion videos from the Youtube Channel.

I am simply giving you some heads up about this course and hope this will help you.

• While writing your answers, include some examples and not copy from other sources.
• Try to finish the assignments, quizzes, labs, and exams before the due time.
• Strengthen your bonding with your coursemates; this will allow you to get an advantage during group reports.
• Do not miss out on the bonus opportunities; bonus marks significantly increase the overall grade.
• When in doubt, take help from the course website.

I am SKM Mashkat Abrar, and I have successfully completed my course MIS107 with our honorable faculty Mr. Adeyl Khan.

Now that we are all habituated with online courses and policies, I found him one of the coolest faculties of NSU. He was really professional about the course-related policies, and the course had a structure.

To be honest, I did nothing out of the box. I followed course policies, tried to maintain a reliable internet connection to attend the classes, followed the instructions on studying before an exam (mentioned on the website), followed the lecture videos, solved the sample questions, and attended every class.

The strategy I followed strictly and maintained was avoiding any kind of plagiarism. Lastly, follow the instructions and take help from the course website whenever necessary, and you will end up with a good grade.

I hope you all are doing great with safe and sound health. This is Samiha Islam. I completed my MIS107 course in Fall 2021 under the guidance of honorable faculty Mr. Adeyl Khan. He is a very cool and humble person. 

Due to the pandemic, I had to do this course online. I had to make sure I had a smooth internet connection and a reliable laptop or PC. 

I was sincere in this course and attended all of his classes. I was a bit scared regarding how will I cope with this course as it was my first semester. I was punctual and always participated in the class. 

For the exams and quizzes, go through his slides, lecture videos, and mind maps. You will know the questions patterns from the previous exam question. Sometimes class recordings can also help you the day before your exam. 

I will highly encourage everyone to utilize the bonus opportunities. It will boost your numbers and eventually help you get a good grade. Make sure you submit the assignments in time and try to get full attendance. I wish you all the best. <3

I'm Minal Akter Sorna, and in the Fall of 2021, I took the MIS107 course with Mr. Adeyl Khan as my lecturer. It was my first semester, and it was a privilege to take this course with such a distinguished staff. By using various tactics, I was able to earn an A-.

1. First and foremost, aim to be punctual in class. Demonstrate that you are contributing to the class by sharing your knowledge. If you have perfect attendance, you are eligible for bonuses.

2. There will be several opportunities to gain bonus points. It would help if you seized them. It can assist you in improving your grade. Don't skip any labs or vivas if you want to obtain a bonus.

3. Make sure you have a laptop and a decent internet connection to attend your class.

4. Before tests, you should read books and presentation slides and solve the previous year's problems to comprehend the questions better.

5. You must keep your camera on and participate in class.

6. To get excellent grades in GA, you must put in a lot of effort (group assignments). Always finish your work before the deadline and double-check that everything is correct; you risk losing points if you put extra (non-relevant) information in your report or presentation.

So, be confident and focus on your lectures. It will help you to achieve a good result.
