MIS207 @ 2020 Fall

Ahoy, NSUers!

I hope everyone is safe and healthy. This is Afiat Maishah and I had an amazing completing my MIS207 (Ebusiness) course under Mr. Adeyl Khan.

Mr. Khan has been very helpful during the course. The entire course was held online and as you can image the challenge of maintaining a steady internet was huge. However, our instructor was very sincere in terms of uploading all the class recordings on time. This way, if you missed the class could still catch up rather easily. He has a unique style of teaching where he keeps the class entertained and alive with witty examples.

The key to scoring well in the course is to pay attention to all the lectures. Also, our teacher is very generous in terms of giving bonuses, so grab them as much as you can. Submit all your assignments and exam papers on due time and you will be able to score a good grade.

I'm Md. Muhit Hasan. I completed the course titled “MIS207” under the supervision of honorable faculty Mr. Adeyl Khan in Fall ’20. He is an inspirational mentor aside being a polymath and mastermind. 

As the semester was done thoroughly online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I always used to make sure that my necessary gadgets are in good condition alongside having sufficient internet packages. For better understanding, I usually used to go through the video lectures prior to the class to understand the topics and raise my questions in an organized manner. 

Apart from this, I want to highlight certain key areas which were helpful to secure my A. To attain 3 bonus marks and have clear concepts on the covered topics, class attendance is mandatory. 

So, in a nutshell, I would recommend the newcomers to go through the lecture videos, slides and website question banks (available through class monitors) to obtain a decent grade. Last but not least, if any confusion or difficulty arises, never hesitate for a moment to consult with the faculty as he is rather welcoming, friendly and helpful.

This is Md. Omar Sabil. Hoping, you all doing well and having a great semester with our beloved Mr. Adeyl Khan. He is a nice person and extremely helpful, in my opinion. He has never behaved harshly. Please be patient and behave politely. Try to follow the instructions. In sha Allah you won’t be disappointed at the end of the semester.

However, I truly wish to see you guys in this hall of fame too, so I have decided to give a small guidance, which might help you a bit more to reach your desired grade.

According to the outline you will face quizzes, individual or group assignments, lab activities, project reports, mid and final. For these different tasks you have to be prepared in different ways. 

• You must have to follow the text book to do well in the Quizzes, read properly. Eat the text book as কাচ্চি বিরিয়ানি.
• For the LAB activities, assignments and the project, just follow the instructions.
• Go through the slides, lecture videos, mind maps and the sample questions for the mid and final exam. 
• Avoid being penalized because of late submission or plagiarism. This will cost you a lot.

Most important… Don’t miss the Bonus opportunities, if you want to end up with an A.

Just enjoy the lectures, work hard and avoid hacking the faculty’s keyboard.

Hi Everyone

I am Maruf Ahmed and I have completed the MIS207 (Ebusiness) course with one of the most patient and dedicated teachers of NSU, MR. Adeyl Khan in the Fall-2020.

That was one of the most challenging semesters (for the pandemic). Alhamdulillah I was able to snatch an 'A' even in this situation. Here I want to mention some points about how I got this grade and also some important suggestions based on my experience.

- Full attendance: This is the key to get attached to the course. Without attending most of the class, don't expect a good grade. I have attended all the classes and got a bonus at the end!

- Laptop with a good internet connection: It was really tough to have a working internet connection throughout the semester but Alhamdulillah except 1/2 cases I didn't face any problem. It helped me to engage in class and continue smoothly with the pace of the faculty. I used to keep backup internet always because once your network is gone during attendance you are done with it. The faculty barely considers network problems during attendance. Please use a laptop during the class. A large screen will help you to understand the discussion far better than your smartphone!

- Class Participation: One of the good features of the class is the recording. The faculty records participation in the smartest possible way and your class participation the overall grade as well. Make sure you are listening to the class and can answer discussion questions. You will find it's effectiveness during midterms and at the end for sure.

-Attending Bonuses: Please attend each and every bonus opportunity and believe me nothing can pull your grade to the top than a bonus. I didn't miss any of the bonus opportunities and literally without bonus opportunity maybe I couldn't get this grade. So again, please don't leave Bonus.

- Midterms & Final: I used to solve the mock questions and sample questions from the student share folder and it helped me mostly for midterm and final. So do this. Don't be late to submit any assignment. You need to give extra viva if you are late and my experience of extra viva is a bad idea particularly for weak students.

- Lab & Assignments: These two are the main differentiators among the grades. Please take these seriously otherwise at the end you won't see a good grade. I had a smart group and Alhamdulillah I have done well in these. So form a good group from the very beginning. These are graded in much detail and the faculty is rather careful so no scope of even a little plagiarism! Maintain time for submitting these as well.

This is the course- seems tough? But believe me, you will find the course so interesting, funny and easier as you progress. So, don't panic just be regular in the the class and participate. Thats it!

Let me start off by saying that you definitely don't need to hack our faculty member's PC to end up with a good grade. Jokes apart, I'm Saleem, and I did MIS207 (E-business) with Mr. Adeyl Khan back in Fall-2020. And it was a very pleasant experience.

If you're reading this, you probably want to end up with a good grade. And for this course, getting an A should actually be a piece of cake if you play the game well, trust me. Here are a few tips that might come in handy. 

• Keeping connected during the classes and exams can be challenging. So always try to keep backup mobile data just in case. Consult with the faculty member if you have network issues, he'll surely help you find a solution.
• A moderately functioning laptop/desktop is certainly recommended, especially for the exams, quizzes, labs, and of course, the group assignments. You might have to struggle a lot if you're continuing with a phone. 
• All the materials are already uploaded on the resourceful website from the beginning of the semester. So studying for the course is a complete breeze. Try watching the “Lecture Videos” before attending classes. Always ASK QUESTIONS during the discussions!
• The exams will go by swiftly too. Just make sure you know what you're writing so that you will be able to explain your answers (during the viva). 
• There will be tons of BONUS opportunities! Don't dare miss these chances because these will certainly influence your final grade. 
• Take a glance at the mindmap files whenever you're stuck. These files are packed with information in an organized way. And these files helped me out whenever I got stuck with a topic. 
• PLEASE attend classes regularly and be attentive. You never know, you might even get a BONUS for this too. 
• Try to be extra careful with the intricate details of the group project.
• Even though the pandemic hasn't been kind to us, trust me when I say this, you won't even feel any pressure from this course at times. So managing time for all the courses should be easy.
