Al Shaharier Mahmud Bhuiyan
Assalamualaikum,
I am Shaharier, and I completed my MIS207 (E-Business) course in Summer 2021, with Mr. Adeyl Khan as my instructor.
It was an online course. We are already quite used to online classes and aware of the most common problems we may face. A mindset to listen and learn in every class will smoothen the journey. So, do not miss a class under any circumstances.
- To get clear ideas and grasp key concepts, go through the lecture videos (YouTube) and mindmaps. Particularly before classes and exams.
- Don't plagiarize at all, be it assignments or projects.
- Participate in all kinds of bonuses- quizzes, labs.
- Use the course website when you are in doubt.
- Most importantly, solve the previous semester's question, and you know where to search for the answers:)
This is how you will end up a good grades Insha'allah. Thank you and Good luck, everyone.

How I got this grade and how it may help you too
Hello everyone,
I am Saurav Roy, and I have successfully completed E-business (MIS207) under the guidance of our respected faculty Mr. Adeyl Khan. This course will help you understand the fundamentals of E-business and business procedures and practices from the organization’s or managers’ perspective. He is one of the most helpful and coolest faculty in NSU.
Since you are here, I am assuming you are taking the MIS207 course and looking for ways to achieve an ‘A’. I want to share some ‘Tips and Tricks’ that will help you to get you there.
Keep proper backup:
Since classes are online, backups are essentials. You need a decent laptop that provides at least 2-3 hours of backup power supply. You don’t need to buy an expensive laptop; a functioning laptop is more than enough. Also, please avoid attending class using a phone since it comes with its own set of disadvantages. Yet keep mobile data on your phone in case of Internet issues related to Broadband. You can turn on your mobile data and hotspot to connect this to your Laptop to resolve the internet issues.
Preparing for classes and exams:
Some points the helped me which you can follow-
For classes-
- See the YouTube lecture video and lecture slides the night before the class. It will definitely help you to understand the topic easily during the lectures.
- Always study regularly. By regularly, I mean to finish what was taught in class within 1-2 days of the lecture.
- Always be attentive in class. Get a comfortable spot in the room, shut the door, remove things that may break your attention, and focus on the lecture.
- Try your best to respond in class. It will make the lecture lively and help you clear the misconceptions regarding the topic.
- Still, if you have any confusion regarding any topic, talk to the faculty during office hours. Do not hesitate for even a second to contact him. He is a rather helpful and gentle person.
For exams-
- Finish the syllabus at least a week before the exam. Then it will help you to revise and prepare for midterms and final.
- Preparing for the exams is a process. At first, look at the mind maps and read the slides; Mind maps are lifesavers for this course. Remember that mind maps are an essential handout that will help you get a high score in the exam. Moreover, if you want to understand a topic in detail, read that from the book, and finally, the critical part is solving the questions of previous semesters. You may get similar questions from previous semesters. It helped me to understand the question pattern and how to answer.
- Try to answer from an organization’s or manager’s perspective. You will get instructions on how to answer to get excellent marks.
- Try your best to get the bonuses. It is essential to get good grades. So, read the question bank before bonus sessions and quizzes.
- Even though it may not be necessary to read the book before the exam, it really helped me write better answers in the exam.
Follow the instructions:
There is a process for everything. Following the process will be beneficial for you. It may not get you grades directly, but these will make your journey easier.
In conclusion, I would advise you to be regular in classes and exams, be gentle, and try your best. There is a support group on Facebook to help you resolve any course-related issue where you can get expert opinions and advice from students from previous semesters. So, join that as soon as possible. If you still have any unique question that wasn’t addressed here, you may contact me on

Best of luck!!!
Irtiza Mohammad Karib
Assalamu Alaikum guys,
I am Irtiza Mohammad Karib, and under the guidance of Mr. Adeyl Khan, I have completed the E-business course with flying colors in Summer-2021. Without a doubt, he is one of the best faculty members I have done my courses till now in NSU.
As you all know, we are doing our classes online during this pandemic, so you need to make sure that you can do the classes without any interruption. To do that, you can get a stable broadband connection from a good ISP. Another thing would be to make sure to keep your laptop fully charged to deal with any power outage that might occur. If you face any problem regarding your devices or anything, you can ask the faculty during office hours. He will try his best to solve your problem.
If you want to get a good grade, you need to work hard for that. I would suggest you to be consistent with your studies. The Lecture Videos are already on YouTube. So, for better understanding during the class, I suggest you watch the video at least once before the class. If you fail to understand some topics, you can ask the faculty during class or office hours.
If I need to give a special tip, that would be to solve past semester papers as you might get common questions during the exam. During solving papers, you can take help from the Mind map and try to write good points according to an organizational context which will help you get good marks. Moreover, the faculty solves a sample paper before the exam where you can get a good idea of how to write the answers and get your queries answered; you can get solutions during office hours. Also, try to get all the bonuses if you want to get A.
For the GA/TP, you can make a Mind map and review it during office hours to make corrections or get suggestions for improvement. If you work on those, you will surely get good marks.
Finally, I would tell you not to plagiarize. If you copy, the faculty easily find it out, and you get a zero. So do not plagiarize in your exam or project from previous GA/TP or other places.
Best of luck with the course, and if you need any help, you can surely knock me on Facebook.

Ebusiness (MIS207) is one of the most fun courses I have studied at NSU, and thanks to Mr. Adeyl Khan for making it so enjoyable.
Firstly to achieve a good grade, one needs to be sincere with the subject. The first step to sincerity while studying is to ensure you are attending all the classes. This online semester I ensured that I had enough backup of data packages and laptop. To guarantee that my laptop was working correctly, I turned it in at least 30 minutes before classes checked for updates and security updates to avoid getting interrupted in between classes.
The second step is to study the subject sincerely. The easiest way to do it is to listen to the class lectures attentively and note down the important points like examples discussed in the class. Revise the content that very day and in case of any doubt, ask the faculty for suggestions. He was very helpful in explaining things during office hours.
I faced many challenges with other course loads where I had to prepare many projects and assignments. I managed my time by giving my 100% in listening to the classes attentively without missing a single class. That’s where I cleared almost 90% of the concepts, and it saved me much time. Before exams, I had ample time to revise and focus on assignments that were due.
Securing an A did seem challenging at first, to be honest. Especially after the first class, going through the guidelines and course outline, I was quite scared. I was determined and made sure I attended all the classes and kept on track by understanding the topics taught. Gradually, I overcame my fear and started to enjoy the classes, as the faculty made it quite enjoyable with his witty examples.
To get a good grade, you need to start preparing yourself from day one of the course. Try to be participative in class, ask questions, and take notes, especially understand the examples discussed in class. Try not to miss a class. Don’t plagiarize anything, be it assignments or projects. Just by doing this, you can secure an A easily.
